Chronic Pain Clinic in Sudbury

What is Chronic Pain?

Chronic pain is defined as any pain lasting more than 12 weeks and can persist often for months or even longer. Unlike acute pain which has a known cause and is resolved when the cause is no longer present, chronic pain is very different.

Chronic pain may arise from an injury, such as a back sprain, or there may be an ongoing cause or disease such as arthritis or cancer that can play a causal role in the development of chronic pain. However, there may also be no clear cause. Other health problems such as fatigue, sleep disturbance, decreased appetite, mood changes often accompany chronic pain.

At Brady Physiotherapy, we understand that chronic pain can limit a person’s movements, which can reduce flexibility, strength and stamina. We understand that chronic pain can make it difficult for you to complete your daily activities and lead a normal life.

We do our very best to practice empathetic care with our patients who are burdened with chronic pain.

Diagnosing Chronic Pain

There are a large number of medical conditions and injuries which can be the underlying cause of chronic pain, and symptoms. Once we have identified your source of chronic pain, based on your specific condition we can recommend a number of treatments.

Whether you have suffered from a back injury, were in a motor vehicle accident, or sports injury, we can help make a difference to minimize and mange your pain.

We take a Multidisciplinary approach; our registered health care professionals work together to create a specific treatment plan that will help you. We often use a combination of treatments that are specific to each individual and their chronic pain symptoms that will produce the best results.
